Abortion Issue

The Supreme court has just decided to hear a case on partial-birth abortion. Although this is usually followed by crazed individuals screaming for their rights and the evils of a president who put two conservatives on the bench, followed by a picture of a hanger for added effect, this is a great time to talk about the real issue at hand -- i.e. the right to life. So what "rights" does that entail? Is it merely existence or is it further than that, to some notion of positive rights? And of course, when does life begin and when does choice begin to be a problem for those individuals involved?
